WORD TO THE WORLD – Young Playwrights for Change
National Playwriting competition for students grades 6 – 8

Regional host: Syracuse Stage, accepting two entries per school for consideration in national contest.
Plays should address the theme of Anti-Bullying and should be 10 minutes.

Word to the World: Young Playwrights for Change National Competition

Open to students in grades 6 through 8, we are looking for your school’s top two ten page plays to attend playwriting workshops with Syracuse Stage.
The regional winner will move on to the national competition and have their play performed at the Syracuse Stage Young Playwrights Festival on May 1, 2018.

PLAYS DUE: November 14, 2017

There will be information sessions for teachers at Syracuse Stage on August 24 and September 21.
