London, 1888: The serial killer known as Jack the Ripper stalks the women of Whitechapel and leaves Scotland Yard chasing their tails. At 221B Baker Street, Doctor John Watson anxiously watches on while a dejected Sherlock Holmes, without mysteries to stimulate his uneasy mind, fends off boredom with his “seven percent solution.” When the pair is pulled onto the Whitechapel case to investigate a promising lead, Holmes is reinvigorated, but discovering the truth of the Ripper will lead him down alleys darker and more sinister than anything he has previously encountered.
